Social Aid: Christmas Celebration at Persatuan Perjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Klang (December 2016)

Christmas is a season of giving. It’s a time when people spend money buying special gifts to surprise their love ones.

However, there are some communities who do not have the capability to buy the things that they want or even need nor people to lavish them with presents and hugs.

Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat” (PPKKCKS) is a multi-racial Home with children ranging from age 3 months to 26. PPKKCKS is currently taking care of over 80 handicapped children with disabilities such as Down’s syndrome, Autism, Blindness, Deafness, Muteness, Mental retardation and others. They operate the Home from funds received from the public.

In December, Yayasan Kossan volunteers organized a Christmas celebration at Persatuan Perjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Klang Selangor for the purpose of spreading love and joy to the children during the festive season.

Yayasan Kossan volunteers transformed the Home into a Christmas wonder with beautiful decorations. Gifts were prepared to pamper them with secret surprises to bring them cheer. Volunteers sang and danced with the children to bring out their best spirit in the liveliness of the occasion.

Scrumptious lunch was sponsored by Yayasan Kossan to provide the children and the aid workers with a delicious hot meal. The children were also happy to see the ice cream cart and enjoyed their deserts. All day long, the children were all smiles. It was a great day indeed for both Yayasan Kossan volunteers as well as the Home.

Besides the celebration, Yayasan Kossan also sponsored the Home with a set of physiotherapy equipment to enable proper physiotherapy training for the children with physical disabilities.
