Social Project: YK Hari Raya Giveaway 2022 (April 2022)

In the spirit of celebrating the unity and diversity, Yayasan Kossan is always eager to share the celebrations of the Malaysians, which includes the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration that falls on the 1st Shawwal of the Islamic calendar every year.

This year, we reached out to orphanages and old folks activity centers to bring the celebrations to them and lighten their hearts with the love that we can share. Nine locations were identified, as the following:

  1. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Ummi Selangor
  2. Rumah Nur Sakinah
  3. Rumah Penyayang Ulin Nuha
  4. RACTAR Orphanages
  5. Rumah Amal Al Firdaus
  6. Teratak Nur Barakah
  7. Rumah Anak Yatim & Miskin Al Munirah
  8. Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas Tanjung Malim, Perak

While preparing, some centers requested certain provisions, which we were very happy to accommodate. For others, we brought Hari Raya Tupperware gift sets, Hari Raya condiments such as the kuih raya, as well as the duit raya (or Hari Raya pocket money). Each occupant in the nine locations listed above received RM10.00 as their duit raya from Yayasan Kossan.
