Social Aid: YK Hari Raya 2023

Raya Aidilfitri is approaching. Shopping complexes everywhere are alive with Hari Raya songs, and social media is littered with pictures of ketupat and kuih raya as Muslim Malaysians prepare to celebrate Hari Raya. However, as we busy ourselves with Raya preparations, let us not forget the less fortunate.

Recently, volunteers from Yayasan Kossan made a donation to the Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas (PAWE) in Tanjung Malim, an activity center that provides developmental services for the elderly. PAWE has formed a strategic collaboration with the Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat and other government agencies and NGOs across Malaysia to help provide care to the elderly.

In conjunction with the upcoming Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, we donated a care package consisting of 5kg rice, 2kg cooking oil, 1kg flour, canned sardines, coffee, and rice vermicelli to all 20 Muslim staff there. We commend PAWE for the work that they do and hope that they continue their wondrous efforts to care for elderly Malaysians in need.
