Social Aid: YK Food Basket 2021 (March 2021)

Yayasan Kossan initiated the YK Food Basket (“Bakul Makanan”) Program in March this year with the collaboration from Great Heart Charity Association. A total of 167 food baskets were donated to 167 underprivileged families.

Yayasan Kossan launched the YK Food Basket Program in 2020 after Malaysia was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. A lot of families were impacted due to the Movement Control Order that was gazette by the Government in March 2020. Some people lost their jobs and small business had to close down. It was a difficult time for the low-income communities. YK Food Basket consist of dry food such as rice, oil, milo, flour, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce and canned food which is essential for the families.

The segregation was done at Great Heart Charity Center with a total of 6 volunteers involved. Yayasan Kossan continues to support the local communities through various outreach programs.
