Social Aid: Yayasan Kossan November Blood Donation Drive (November 2022)
We hear many stories of altruistic, wealthy individuals who are able to donate hundreds, if not thousands of Ringgit, to charity and help people change their lives. Yet depending on the person in need, sometimes it is not money that they wish for. Sometimes, a life can be changed, and saved, with a donation that does not involve monetary exchange: blood donation. Did you know that one blood bag alone can save three lives?
On 9th November, a blood donation drive was held at the Kossan Training Centre to respond to the urgent calls from the healthcare industry for the nation’s blood bank. We are proud to report that a total of 128 Kossanians came down to support this event. From 10AM to 4PM, the donation drive was able to collect 85 blood bags, setting a record for Kossan’s in-house blood donation drive. With this number, it is equivalent to saving 255 lives, which is a proud achievement for us this year.
