Social Aid: Let’s Read Sin Chew Program

Yayasan Kossan is constantly aware of the public concerns of the nation. One of these concerns relate to the reading habits of children in Malaysia, which was recently addressed by Malaysians’ Reading Profile Study a few days ago.

This time around, to encourage the reading habits of Malaysian children, we organized a “Let’s Read Sin Chew Daily” launching event at SJKC Pui Ying. The program is a collaboration between Sin Chew and Yayasan Kossan to promote the reading of the Sin Chew Chinese language newspaper.

The event was officiated by Yayasan Kossan’s Vice President, Mr. RK Suppiah. Through the event, we were able to sponsor 26 sets of Sin Chew Daily for 166 days to SJKC Pui Ying. We hope that this effort will continue to cultivate a reading culture among the young generation and allow them to enjoy reading different types of media available worldwide.
