Social Project: Learning Beyond Boundaries
(August 2024)
The Learning Beyond Boundaries program was conducted across two impactful events designed to enrich the lives of children from diverse backgrounds.
The first event took place with 33 young children from Tadika Intan Comel in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Aged between 5 and 6 years, these kids were introduced to the art of batik canting, where they learned about colouring methods and colour combinations. Each child had the opportunity to work on various batik designs, fostering their creativity and artistic expression. To complement the educational experience, Yayasan Kossan provided Happy Meals for lunch which was received by delight by the children.
The second event catered to 35 indigenous students from SK Pulau Indah, ranging from Standard 3 to Standard 6, and involved 10 volunteers from Kossan. The highlight was a one-day field trip to Petrosains at KLCC, offering the students a fascinating glimpse into the world of science and its relevance to daily life. For many, this was a first-time experience outside their village and on a bus. After a lunch at Nyonya Colors, the students enjoyed a visit to a chocolate kiosk. Each child received a goodie bag containing a bottle of Tinge, mineral water, a Massimo muffin, Dunkin’ Donuts, and a cute lunch bag, rounding off a memorable day.
