Financial Aid: Maintenance of School Assembly Hall (April 2014)
Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan (SMJK) Kwang Hua was established in 1955 originated as a sectarian private Chinese school. In line with the government policy, the school was converted to a government-aided school in 1962. SMJK Kwang Hua is a grade A school that has a 3660 students, 151 teachers and 12 support personnel. The school had shown excellent results in academic performance where many students were awarded scholarship from the Public Service Department and more importantly in student character development. In recent years, many students gained admission to top universities around the world.1
Making schools a great place to be is always a priority for Yayasan Kossan. That is why Yayasan Kossan had no hesitation in providing financial support in the maintenance and up-grading efforts for the Assembly Hall at SMJK Kwang Hua, Klang. The dilapidated flooring and paint peeling off the walls are not appropriate for the gathering of the children where the school hall is used for talks, functions and other activities. The funds are also needed to replace the roofing sheet and insulation, rewiring and up-grading of the air-conditioners inside the hall.
With the aid, the school will be able to refurbish the hall back to its proper condition and create a positive environment for the children and indirectly motivate the school community in cultivating a healthy and happy place for children.
