Social Project: YK Kids Get Ready To School – First Half

(May 2024)

One of Yayasan Kossan’s key events is the “Get Ready to School”, which is conducted to help students from unprivileged families acquire school supplies for the school year. For the first half of this year, seven schools were selected to be part of this event, which are:

  • SK Sungai Binjai
  • SK Abdul Samat
  • SK Pulau Indah
  • SJKC Tshing Nian
  • SJKC Khai Tee
  • SJKT Ladang North Hummock
  • SJKT Vageesar

A total of 205 students benefited from this event this year, where each student was given a school bag, two sets of the standard school uniform, one pair of black shoes, two pairs of socks, a pencil case, a stationery set, a water tumbler, and a lunch box.

To us, this event exemplifies our dedication towards supporting the education and well-being of students from these unprivileged families so that they can focus on their studies and enjoy their school years. Through this effort, we hope to not only help them start the school year with confidence but also reaffirm our commitment to give back to the community.
