Social Project: Program Bubur Lambuk with Bengkel Daya Klang

(March 2024)

Every year in the Islamic calendar, the month of Ramadan is observed as a month of worship, where Muslims fast during the day and spend a significant part of their evenings performing the tarawih prayers at mosques or from the comfort of their homes. The bubur lambuk, a type of rice porridge, is a staple food that is prepared for Muslims to break their fast and prepare for the evening worship.

This year, in collaboration with Bengkel Daya Klang and Puspanita Selangor, we are proud to have organized a bubur lambuk program for Ramadan. At 8AM, a total of 81 volunteers began the preparation of cutting the onions, meat, and other ingredients to cook the porridge in large pots. The OKU from Bengkel Daya took turns to continuously stir the porridge to prevent it from sticking.

In total, we prepared 1,000 packs that were then distributed to various locations such as Klinik Kesihatan Botanik, Klinik Kesihatan Pandamaran, the Klang Utara and Klang Selatan Police Headquarters, and several fire departments around Klang area. Ramadan Kareem everyone!
