Social Project: YK Deepavali Giveaway 2023

Deepavali, the festival of lights, symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness. It reminds us of the importance of spreading warmth and kindness. During this season, extending a helping hand to those in need not only illuminates their lives but also reinforces the essence of compassion and community.

To bring cheer to those in need, Yayasan Kossan visited four homes for this celebration as part of our YK Deepavali Giveaway 2023. The first three homes we visited were the Persatuan Prihatin dan Penyayang Selangor (Pusat Jagaan Minda Khas), Stillwater Golden Villa Elder Care, and Sahana Old Folks Home. We brought with us a lunch pack and pocket money of RM10 for each resident. The last home we visited was Destiny Old Folks Welfare Association Klang, where we give donation of home provision and monetary donation of RM300 for the home operation usage. In total, 213 residents benefited from the event. We hope that this small contribution brought warmth and cheer to these four locations.
