Social Aid: Chinese New Year Giveaway 2023

It is the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese calendar this year, which is considered a time of peace, tranquility and prosperity. In Chinese culture, the rabbit is also associated with the moon and longevity and is also a symbol of fertility and good luck.

To celebrate this, Yayasan Kossan arranged a donation drive to seven old folks’ homes and one orphanage – two of these homes were in Perak, while the remaining six were in Klang. We delivered various provisions as requested by each home, including mandarin oranges and murukku. The volunteers also delivered special lunches for the occupants of the homes, as well as angpow as a symbol of respect, gratitude, and affection. The homes we visited were:
