Social Project: Celebration of Dumpling Festival with Old Folks and Orphanages (June 2022)
The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday that was celebrated in early June this year. For this celebration, dumplings are normally served to commemorate the holiday’s great significance to dragons. Yet, Yayasan Kossan understands that not all places are able to observe this holiday and enjoy it. With that, we decided to bring the celebrations to 10 old folks’ home and orphanages to enjoy the festival with them.

In total, we were able to spread the love and celebration with 324 beneficiaries from the locations listed above. We brought dumplings, bread and fruits of various kinds and were happy to see the smiles on their faces that reminds us of why we love to help others.
For many, this festival is regarded as a festival to celebrate health. To us, our efforts are here to help lighten the hearts of the beneficiaries, and to show them that we are always concerned about their well-being and hope they will continue to live prosperous and happy lives regardless of circumstance.
