Social Aid: Donation To Animal Shelter (May 2021)

During this pandemic not only human, even animals need a helping hand. Hence, Yayasan Kossan (YK) provided donation to 3 animal shelters. The shelters are Pawtarian Rehab and Adoption Centre, SPCA and SI Home Shelter.

Pawtarian Rehab and Adoption Centre was recently constructed in Klang. The shelter takes care of stray dogs that are found roaming wild from the roadside. These dogs’ health and wellness are cared for by the centre. YK donated 5 bags of dog food and 5 bags of rice which are much-needed essential food item by the shelter.

SPCA is an established shelter in Ampang. This centre takes care of 160 stray cats and dogs. In recent times, many people have dumped cats & dogs at their doorstep. The shelter needs more support to make sure they are able to keep the animals healthy enough before they open up for adoption. YK donated food and cleaning detergents to this shelter.

SI Shelter run by a local family situated in Subang Jaya houses 300 cats and 15 dogs. All the cats and dogs were found from the roadside and are taken back to the shelter to be treated and put up for adoption. We donated food and wood pellets to this shelter.

From the streets into a warm and clean box all the way to the shelter for rehabilitation and treatment. Then on to a beautiful loving family. This is the process that fortunate stray cats and dogs will undergo. We want people to keep in mind to “ADOPT DON’T SHOP”. Let’s strive to keep these animals alive and off the streets.
